What is Lexus Lane?

The lane on highways reserved for vehicles that are carrying more than one passenger, or for single occupant drivers who pay a fee. This practice is popular in major cities during rush hour.
Similar to the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicles) lane.
It seems like it's always the solo soccer moms in luxury vehicles hogging up the lexus lane.
I could have swore that guy in the lexus lane who sped by planted a life size dummy in the passenger seat.
