What is Lorimar?

Production Company, founded 1968 by Lee Rich and Merv Adelson. Produced "The Waltons" (1972-81), "Dallas" (1978-91), "Knots Landing" (1979-93), and "Eight is Enough" (1977-81). Merged with Telepictures in 1985, and purchased by Warner Communications in 1988. Consolidated into Warner Bros. Television and eliminated in 1993.
