What is Luke 14:25-27?

1.

A passage from the Biblethat reveals Jesus' true thoughts about family. Quite a contrast from the 'love thy neighbour' spiel.

Luke 14:25-27 (NIV)

Large crowds were travelling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters - yes, even his own life - he cannot be my disciple.
