Mad science is the up and coming field of thinking outside the box and the laws of nature to develop theories, build devices and otherwise perform scientific miracles that are, by the standards of civilized man, completely impossible.
The Frankenstein Monster, created by Doctor Victor von Frankenstein, is the textbook example of mad science at work.
