What is Maintenance Hang?

Hanging out with a friend or acquaintance after not doing so for an extended period, and with no intention of doing so again soon. Meant to 'maintain' a relationship, but not necessarily further it.
Yea, I hadn't talked to Doug in like five weeks, so I'm going over there tonight for a maintenance hang. Hopefully I won't have to see him again for a few weeks...
(Note: works well with those friends you wish to maintain a... *business* relationship with...)
