What is Markfunk-gay?

the foremost homosexuality slang used by some people of the golden horseshoe in southwestern Ontario. Used often as a joke to denote that it is the supreme form of low one can reach. The etymology of the word is not clear but one explanation is that it was created by a group of University of Waterloo students and that it spread by word of mouth. Reason or cause of creation of the word is not known.
Person 1: This show on TV is so gay!
Person 2: markfunk-gay?
Person 1: yeah.
Person 1: I can't believe he did that to me.
Person 2: Yeah, that is such a markfunk-gay thing to do.
