Massively Anal Retentive Transit Authority

This refers to MARTA rapid transit in Atlanta, GA. MARTA spent millions of dollars to install a new fare collection system called 'BREEZE' that uses touch cards. Despite the fact that the MARTA rail service only runs 4 directions, the geniuses at headquarters decided to require folks to tap their breeze cards to both ENTER and LEAVE the rail stations. This is a complete waste of time & completely Anal Retentive. The geniuses claim it’s to improve route service. How is that possible when rail only goes 4 directions?

Meanwhile, MARTA buses rattle around city streets like drunken cows with hardly any riders. It’s NOT necessary to 'tap out' to get off a MARTA bus. Tapping out of a bus would make more sense to help MARTA collect route data than tapping out of a train that can only follow a fixed rail system.

I got stuck in a MARTA station today because I lost my breeze card and could not tap out! How Anal Retentive is that?!!
