What is Marvin "knife" Sotelo?
1.
Marvin "Knife" Sotelo whom to many believe to be the reincarnation of Mictian the "Aztec God of Death" was born on the 3rd day of March 1987 in East Los Angeles, he stands six-feet tall, with a shaved head and black eyes, Marvin "Knife" Sotelo is an East Los Angeles gangster from the High Times Maravilla gang. He is charming and utterly respectful with the ladies, athletically inclined and fearless. Not only did Knife talk the talk, he walked the walk of a prototypical gangster. It seemed only inevitable that Knife would end up infamous. While he has been working back-and-forth between legitimate and illegal jobs also making businesses of his own all the while keeping a low profile, Knife learned the game of his crime-ridden community of East Los Angeles through all of Southern California and along the way became one of the latest page-one "celebrity" gangsters.
Knife is a textbook sociopath. He took what he wanted when he wanted it and the emotion of remorse was alien to him. In his mind, other people were as equals, and his loyalty to his gang which was demonstrated by his record of robbery, murder and at one time charged for rape but the charges were dropped due to the lack of evidence dating back to his early teenage years. Knife was sent to the Los Angeles County Prison only twice, the first for drug possesion and the second for attempted murder.
In gangs, nicknames is often a term of endearment or honor. It is given out to all gangster's as soon as they join a gang as long as they show no fear in sticky situations or who are willing to step up to jobs that others are afraid to take. Knife earned his nickname early on in his criminal career because of his tendency to "shank foos" whenever he comes face to face with an enemy or anyone else that angered or thwarted him. The name "Marvin" was an appellation that he strongly disliked and anyone who used his real name to his face risked certain bodily harm. Knife preferred that his homies, family, friends, and people that he respects call him "Marvin" or "Knife". If you weren’t his friend, "Knife" only.
Marvin "Knife" Sotelo, with some of his Hollywood friends and Southern California drug connections, will go down in the annals of crime history as the man who still keeps the gang culture of the West Coast alive, a Satanic icon and prophet of modern times, and will always be the corrupted figure of the United States. "Knife" Sotelo is a man who rose from the depths of poverty to the pinnacle of real life and gang life, and only his enemies would be his downfall.
"They call me the next Bugsy Siegel, the only difference between him and I is that I stayed in the racket and he didn't." - Marvin "Knife" Sotelo
