The name hails from the Swedish terms for seagull "Mås" and for a god "Gud"

Thease two make the first part of the name, the title, "Måsguden" meaning the God of seagulls. Origin of the later part of the name "ATZA" is not know to this day.

The followers of MåsgudenATZA praise the seagulls and offer their god gifts by feeding the seagulls

The most holy place for thease followers is Kaivopuisto in Helsinki, Finland, where the great ATZA first appeared for the first of his priests, Valter
