Maton

What is Maton?

1.

A 'Maton' is usually something which has done but they didn't mean to do it. This is most common in Billiards games like Snooker and Pool where a player pots a ball in without intending to or in the completely wrong pocket, or also 'snookering' the opposition without intending to.

Thought to be named after Conor Maton, who repetedly flukes his shots in billiards.

Player 1: Your shot Player two

Player 2: KK, oh dear you have snookered me, I'm not going to pot here

(takes shot, and pots one of his balls in, which had a 1,000,000/1 chance of going in)

Player 1: You fucking fluker!! That was a right Maton!

See snooker, fluke, pool, lucky
