Matrix Kick

What is Matrix Kick?

1.

Noun. Usually plural.

1. What a parody-type movie is derisively said to contain when it simply copies scenes or elements from other movies without actually making fun of them.

2. Any movie or pop culture cliche that appears in a poorly written satire.

Originally, it exclusively referred to CGI cartoons like "Shrek," or movies like "Scary Movie," which copied the scene in "The Matrix," in which Trinity leaps into the air and freezes. The camera then rotates around her and she kicks.

Sarcastic Guy 1: "Date Movie" looks really good.

Sarcastic Guy 2: Yeah, I hope it has lots of matrix kicks.
