What is Mcdouble?

1. The "new" dollar menu burger; it is essentially a double cheeseburger with only one slice of cheese instead of two.

2. When one goes out on a double date to McDonald's.

1. Bob: "Yeah, I'd like a double cheeseburger."

Voice: "It's a $1.19 now. But you can get a McDouble for a buck."

Bob: ...and the difference is?

2. Amanda & Jim: "Hey, wanna go on a McDouble this Friday?"

Sally & Nelson: "Sure!"

The McDouble replaced the double cheeseburger on the dollar menu early December in 2008. Instead of two pieces of cheese the McDouble only has one.

Mayor McCheese: The McDouble is driving me out of business.

Grimace: Time to hit the bottle mayor -- I'll be in the lounge.

A low-cost replacement for the $1 Double Cheeseburger. Released by McDonalds in 2008 to help deal with rising food/labor prices, in order to offer a sandwich that still can be sold for $1.00.

A McDouble is basically a cheeseburger but with two meat patties, two buns, and ONE slice of cheese. Yes, ONE slice of cheese. And they cost 99c.

This is supposedly the new value item on the menu as it replaces the original double cheeseburgers.

Speaking of double cheeseburgers, those are $1.19 now. They went up by 20c.

The McDouble is now the new double cheeseburgers. Except it has one slice of cheese.
