What is Megalo?

Noun- Awesome, tight, l33t, etc.
Megalo was a word developed in 2002 by a couple of school kids. The word was a mix of Mega, and the low has yet to be explained. This word can be used in every part of speech (I've only listed the two most common), however, it can't be used with itself, (i.e. megalo megalo)
