What is Mehalled?

"Mehalled" is a colloquial term originating in the Greater Cleveland area. The term is meant to describe the act of hooking up with a girl and then never seeing her again, thus crushing any self-confidence she might have left. While having a mostly negative connotation, the use of the word has spread to include all areas of life in which someone unfairly took advantage of another person. For instance, in poker after flopping three of kind of twos you would have "mehalled" the player holding pocket aces. Other uses of the word include, "you just got mehalled","watch out or I'll mehall you," and "you mehalling s.o.b."
