What is Mental Chuckle?

a.k.a. mc --> not to be confused with master of ceremonies means mental chuckle. it is usually used when something funny is said or read by a person, but this tidbit of information does not make them laugh out loud or 'lol' as the kids say. the new information only makes them laugh in their mind. hence the name 'mental chuckle'
My friend, Rick, told me about how he saw a panda fall out of the tree after it farted. I didn't think it was funny enough to laugh out loud, but I did catch myself experiencing a mental chuckle.
