n. the condition of being a diehard New York Mets fan. Basically, a person in Metology will defend to the death the Mets. Metologists can't stand anything degrading against their team. The opposite of Metology is Yankisism.

Yankist: Did you see the game last night?

Metologist: What game?

Yankist: The one where those stupid ass Mets lost. I was rolling.

Metologist: What the fuck did you just say, you damn Yank!

Yankist: You got Metology don't you?
