The hip new type of punk music who draw inspirations from 80's new-wave/hardcore/pop-punk. They incorporate, but are not limited to mini-breakdown's, keyboards, witty lyrics and song titles.

Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, The Academy Is... are all examples of metro-core bands.

Your mom is so metro-core.

Look at Timmy's pants, they are totally metro-core.
