What is Microburst?

1) A downburst is a strong downdraft which includes an outburst of potentially damaging winds on or near the ground. If the diameter of the downburst is less than 2.5 miles, it is called a microburst.

2) Also used in popularvernacular to refer to brief expressions of fear, anger, sadness, joy, pleasure. . .

We heard there were microbursts in the area, but the soccer game continued. Because we are just that hard core.
