What is Milkcrate?

A plastic inanimate object, shaped in the form of a cube with one wall missing. It is approximately one foot high and wide. It is modular and highly appreciated for this quality.
It comes in a variety of colors, some are more rare than others. The milkcrate interacts well with it's peer milkcrates: each milkcrate fits perfectly with the other. Milkcrate is synonymous with "adult lego". The possibilities of constructed forms are endless. Examples of constructions include: the shelf, the coffee table, the modern totem pole, the green house etc. The milkcrate is sometimes a subject of fetishization. The milkcrate was also well know in the past by dj's for being the perfect size for vinyls,however the dimensions were adulturated with in order to prevent further theft by the public. The black market value is in 2006, 3$ per milkcrate, in Canada.
