What is Mission Walk?

To travel by foot from one location to another as part of a mission, where the journey is perilous but must be undertaken to accomplish a specific goal.
"...instead of him getting back into the cab to get a lift to my house, he walked. He mission walked from his mates all the way to my house! I thought that was awesome :) because he had to walk along country roads for abit, in the dark, with rabbits and bandicoots and stuff!"
