The act of being persuaded from a pre-existing contractual arrangement to play a team at a similar level with the promise of a larger crowd and bigger payday even though such act almost certainly guarantees an embarrassing loss.
Furman got Mizzoued into thinking that getting paid to lose to Missouri was better for their football program than playing at Delaware.
