What is Mold On Bread?

a metaphor for human civilization sprouting on a substrate (earth's surface). when viewed from atop a mountain or from a plane the city lights and man made structures seem similar to mold growing on bread. at night all u can see is the flickering of thousands of lights, not individual human beings. Joe rogan explains this in great detail in his youtube video about the psychedelic DMT.
Looking at all the mold on bread from the top of Iron mountain in san diego makes me think that we're nothing but shadows and dust.
