Mondeo St270 Edit Meaning

Ford's souped-up, nice looking Mondeo (Tuarus, for the yanks). Unlike the normal car they've been pushing for the last decade or so, this one isn't too bad. But still, for the same money one could purchase a 2yr used Jag or low-end BMW. But then again, who wats an "uber-prestigous" Ford? Not me.

GUY: Wow, did i just see a modeo keep pace-for-pace with that BMW?

Me: Yeah, it's the ST270. It costs the same as a bmw; but it's American.

GUY: I was actually thinking about getting one, until you reminded me they are american. Screw that, let's buy European.
