What is Monogagay?

1. a self-identified gay male who forms relationships that mimic heterosexual monogamous relationships.
2. a self-identified gay male who uses a string of short-term, monogamous relationships to disguise sexual promiscuity.
4. a self-identified gay male who takes pride in his status as an outsider of the gay community and identifies with the more conservative romantic and sexual patterns of mainstream culture.
3. a product of the backlash to sexual liberation that occurred because of the spread of HIV/AIDS, the monogagay is generally, but not always a gay apologist, and usually obsessed with cleanliness and order.
I think Steve thinks he's too good for Jim; Jim's very laissez faire about sexuality and Steve's just an uptight monogagay.
