The fake version of mononucleosis; it is used by its purported victims to gain sympathy and a socially acceptable boycott to physical activity for the duration of a normal case of mono.
Leland stopped training for the race when he contracted mono, but I think he's wimping out with a case of mononuclefauxsis.
