What is Mookie Blaylock?
1.
1.) A former professional basketball player who spent his time in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets, Atlanta Hawks, and the Golden State Warriors. He was known as a scoring point guard and is one of the most prolific three-point shooters of all-time.
2.) The original name for the kick-ass rock band Pearl Jam. They changed their name in regards to copyright issues and settled with Pearl Jam at the release of their successful debut album, Ten. The album was actually named after Mookie Blaylock's jersey number, 10. The band emerged after the untimely death of Mother Love Bone singer Andrew Wood. Wood's former roommate, Soundgarden and future Audioslave wailer, Chris Cornell, formed Temple of the Dog as a tribute to Andrew Wood. The lineup consisted of Cornell(vocals),Stone Gossard(guitar), Jeff Ament(bass), Mike McCready(guitar), Matt Cameron(drums), and a few vocals from Eddie Vedder. After the project, Vedder, Gossard, Ament, and McCready would add drummer Dave Krusen and form Mookie Blaylock, which would be changed to Pearl Jam.
1.) Wow! Mookie Blaylock can sure shoot those three pointers.
2.) Mookie Blaylock sure can play their instruments. Did you see Mike McCready? He has more talent playing his guitar from behind his back than all those post-grunge- generic-power-chord-abusing-Nickelback-loving-cock-rocking-MTV-whores. And did you hear Eddie's vocals? His baritone voice resonates the soul as he sings of abusive relationships(Better Man), personal identity(Alive), and playground bullying (Jeremy).
