Morissette's Syndrome is when a troubled, messed up artist comes out with great, life-changing music, only to release complete fluff when they get counseling/go to rehab/get in a good relationship. The condition is named after Alanis Morissette, who came out with great music when she was young and troubled, only to end up putting out complete bullshit after she "got her shit together".
Some victims of Morissette's Syndrome include Eminem and Mary J. Blige, and maybe Amy Winehouse, if she makes it to recovery.
