What is Moving Night?

The name for October 30th used in Baltimore to describe mischief eve, or Devil's night. Moving night was typically the night of the year when kids would go around toilet papering houses, throwing eggs, and generally causing mischief. Kids would often stock up well ahead of time, because on October 30th stores ID for purchases of eggs, toilet paper, or shaving cream.

"We're going to go out on moving night and throw rotten eggs at our teacher's houses."
