MUF(pronounced Moof): (noun) An acronym meaing Mutually Understood Falsity. It is defined as when person A lies to person B in an exaggerated, over the top, clealry false tale. Person B knows that Person A is lying, and Person A knows that Person B knows that he is lying. Therefore, it can not be considered an actual lie but a MUF.

When Juan told Jose about how he was abducted by aliens and brainwashed to believe that he was Oprah Winfrey, Jose understood that it was simply another MUF.
