What is Murrayism?
1.
Verb, name derived from the name of legendary ex-Formula 1 commentator Graeme Murray Walker.
The term was borne out of Walker's tendancy to make mistakes and his use of nonsensical statements when excited. These mistakes would often be corrected, or simply laughed at, by co-commentator Martin Brundell.
The term can also be used to describe Walker's use of his superhuman ability to predict victory for a certain driver, whilst simultaneously condemning the driver in question to crash on the very next corner.
"Could you repeat that please? That drunken babble was just one long Murrayism!"
"...as they exit turn five of this thirteen turn corner..."

"All I can tell you now is, David Coulthard, he keeps on accelerating and closing up to David Coulthard..."

"Mika Hakkinen comes through to win in Spain and... 'ello, what's going on? OH... OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF!! Off goes Mika Hakkinen!!"
