What is Mushie Patch?
1.
A gathering of chavs (english vernacular for yobs, yobboes or ruffians). Applies especially to the aptly-named 'hoodies' whose light grey clothing and headgear bunched closely together bears a marked resemblance to a field of poisonous mushrooms. Often cultivated (..and often NOT so!) in the UK around corner shop doorways and public phone kiosks.
It's annoying to see so many elderly shoppers forced to trample through the mushie patch just to pick up a packet of smokes and a sunday paper.
