To quickly hit the button which mutes the ring and/or vibration on your cell. Used when your phone goes off when it should not. Also, a term used when a person you do not wish to speak to calls and you quickly make the phone stop ringing.

Alex Vo the asian math nerd in my class is a mute. He doesn't have any friends and doesn't communicate except to the teachers; but only uses body language instead of speaking. When other students ask him if he wants to play (i.e. kickball) he always shakes his head "no".

Usually blabs on about how great they are or about how much they know, nad more than likely it is all bullshit.
This type of person is the type of person than you can try to walk away from while they are talking and they have no idea that you are trying to leave.
