Nalate

What is Nalate?

1.

noun. The nasal version of a palate, as relates to smelling food while cooking it. As you cook, your nalate becomes desensitized to the scent of the food you are making. In order to smell the food (as a guest would smell it upon entering your house), you must cleanse your nalate by going outside and inhaling fresh air.

I'll bet this souffle smells delightful! Let's go outside and cleanse our nalates so that we can smell it.
