What is Necromachy?

From the Greek (Necros = dead; Mache = fight). Literally: Fighting with the dead.
Reading my philosophy homework last night, I suddenly found myself engaged in religious Necromachy -- it was either Jesus or Nietzsche, and somebody was going to get killed!
