What is Negwis?

A less offensive term for an African American. It is derived from the word "nigger" and is mainly used by those in the hispanic community.
My roomate is a pot dealing negwis.
My dad heard me say "nigger" and made me promise not to say it anymore so now i say negwis in reference to those of African American decent.
