The focus of the art is usually mental illness or insanity, though murder shows up as well. It is similar to experimental film.
Though the origin of the phrase is unknown, it is first presented on the website koms.ru, a Russian animation site.
The animator's color choice, combined with the imagery during the character's breakdown, made for a real neo-psycho feel to the piece.
