Noun - a politician who points fingers and blames anyone outside themself: the other party, the press, the law, the timing, former politicians who used to hold office, etc. all while the country is literally or metaphorically "going up in flames".
Derived from the proper noun: Nero - the Roman Emperor famous for fiddling while Rome burned.
I'm so frustrated watching the news on the economy. Washington is just a bunch of Neroticians. Not one of them will stand up and take responsibility for anything when they blow it.
