1. A period of time devoted to pleasure, rest, or relaxation away from the internet. Similar to vacation but from the daily internet life.

2. A fixed period of holidays from the internet, especially one away from major message boards, forums, chat programs, internet message relay systems and chain letters.

3. A technological stress free holiday.

"I reached my breaking point, ted. There were 12 msn conversations open, 178 chain letters unread in my inbox and the forums were being flooded with new responses to my posts by the minute, I simply needed a netcation."
