Similar to "street cred", someone who has netcred has an email address that is deemed to be sufficiently nerdy. Someone who has an email account at an early ISP may have netcred.

Alan has netcred because he has an email address at best.

Or... Doug has netcred because he had a Gmail account before Google went public.
