Netmark

What is Netmark?

1.

"n. Similar to a trademark, a netmark occurs when a person publishes an idea, expression, or piece of information online with quotation marks and crediting the work to a specific author.

The hopes are that this will provide enough evidence in a court of law so as to prevent others from using the work in question without their expressed (and possibly written) permission."

"Dude 1: Do you think if I netmark this definition I'll be able to claim full legal ownership in a court of law?

Dude 2: Probably not...

Dude 1: Hmmm, at least internet users can see that my definition predates anyone else's (I hope...) and so that's kinda cool..."
