What is Nigger Town?

1. An area primarily inhabited by African Americans, particularly those near or below the poverty line. (Southeastern U.S. usage)
2. A place or neighborhood characterized by dirt roads, many of which often don't connect with paved toroughfares of the community at large, and small, humble dwellings, such as shotgun shacks, many of which are dilapitated and are in need of repair. The place often lacks essentials such as dependable utilities and mercantile establishments such as stores, other than small mom 'n pop convenience stores and perhaps a liquor store cum bar. The place, mostly inhabited by members of a single minority mostly living at or below the poverty line, is poorly policed and has been kept backward by a policy of intentional or unintentional economic and social segregation.
When I went down to the loading dock for my weekly audit, I noticed that none of the black guys were around.
"I heard on the boobtube there was a big dust-up in nigger town last night," the Foreman said.
"That explains it," I said, shaking my head.
