What is Nolle Prosequi?
1.
(sometimes shortened into nol. pros.??)
a technical term of English Law, the meaning of which varies as it is used with reference to civil or criminal cases. The object of it is to generally obtain a stay of proceedings against an accompliance in order to procure his evidence(?).This object is, however, more usually effected by the prosecution offering no evidence and the judge directing an acquittal(?).
Does anyone have an additional comment
that may have some light on this subject
of law which is tying up the legislative courts and continues to
allow appointed attorney's a 'save face'
grace with the county and area where
he pratices(?).
