What is Northern Pretty?

Description of a girl that would normally be considered ugly if she resided in the Southern states but is considered pretty if seen in the North due to the paucity of attractive women in those parts (might be do to the effects of the cold, dry climate on their complexions).
Person 1: "I hooked up with this girl on my vacation to Michigan"
Person 2: "Was she hot?"
Person 1: "She was northern pretty"
