What is Nu-prog?

New progressive rock (or art rock), a genre of artists and bands from the 1990s to present.

Tool, Radiohead, Coheed and Cambria, King's X, Dream Theater and Opeth are examples of nu-prog bands, in contrast to Rush, Yes, King Crimson, Supertramp and Pink Floyd, which are classic prog-rock.
