Obese Records was originally a small record store in Melbourne. Sometime before 2000, Australian Hip Hopper Pegz bought it and transformed it into a Australian Hip Hop Shop, A Record Label and a Record Pressing Plant.
It is responsible for most of Australia's leading Hip Hop groups, such as Hyjak N Torcha,
