To latch on to a person in a long-lasting, unwanted hug. Something similar to a glomp, except an octopation usually ends in a shove and a scream. Sometimes met with writhing and the yell of "RAPE! RAPE!"

1-"I tried to glomp Dave and he threw me off!"

"Wow, that's odd. He must have been having a bad day, it's really hard to octapote him."

2-"Marita totally octopated me outside my English class. Ew."
