What is Ogremind?

A so called "Goth Night" held in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada which is infamously known for not playing any Gothic music. Obviously promoting a very incorrect deffiniton of "what is goth?", it comes as no surprise to Winnipeg Goths that the event is sponsored by local Hot Topic plagiarist Damien Nightshade a.k.a. Day-Man Lampshade (owner of the crypt clothing) whose hypocritical actions are the laugh of the entire city. The night hasn't ever held a garunteed venue and has moved to over 5 venues since the night first started off. The "DJs" Zlatan Banicevic (Dj Evil Bastard) and Dj Rachel spend most hours of the night playing music by groups like DJ nosferatu (Hard House), She Wants Revenge (Synth Pop) and Nightwish (Euro-Metal). For the small town of Winnipeg which inhabits less than a handfull of true goths (all of which do not attend the ogremind night), ogremind attracts out cast metal heads, "of age" mall goths and Mansonites. Currently, ogremind is being held at a University sports bar called Monty's Where they turn off the lights and hope no one notices.

Person 1:"I love the goth images I'm thinking about going to the goth night ogremind to hear some of the music. Want to come?"
Person 2:"Alright, sure lets go!"
-Hours Later-
Person 1:"Ok so I learned today that goth music is marilyn manson, cradle of filth and HIM!"
Person 2:"Yeah! You know I always thought it was more The Cure or The Bauhaus or something but hey! guess I was wrong! after all they don't even play those bands at the goth bar so they must not be Goth!"

Person 1:"Want to go to ogremind?"
Goth 1:"Is that bastard dj and dj ravesalot still playing there?"
Person 1:"Yeah"
Goth 1:"Then $%^& No! Turn up Pagan Love Song so i can cleanse the sickening thought of that Night from my dead and bleeding ears! if i wanted to hear the crap they play there I'd turn on MTV!"
