In present day, the Ojibwe generally inhabit Ontario, Minnesota, and Michigan area. Also some parts of Manitoba and Wisconsin.
The Ojibwe have a strong line of history, and a strong culture, much of it still intact to this day.
"Ojibwe" is alternate and easier spelling for "Chippewa" "Ojibway" and "Ojibewa".

Ojibwe (pronounced "oh-jib-way") is a tribe located in both the United States and Canada, mostly around the Great Lakes area. Also known as Chippewa, Ojibwa, Ojibway, Ojibewa, Saulteaux, and a few other wierd ways of spelling it. A lot of us prefer to be called Anishinabe (pronounced "a-nish-shin-nah-bay") which in the language means "first people". Ojibwe are the third largest tribe in North America (the first is
