What is Ostara?

The patron (Germanic) Goddess of spring, fertility and of new life, after whom the holiday Easterwas named and originally celebrated in honor of. Some of her symbols include the rabbit, egg, flowers, and other symbols of fertility. Hot cross buns originated as offerings to Ostara.

Aside from being a Goddess, Ostara is also a holiday.
