What is Ourstory?

the real stories about our society and tales of the past. It's not HIStory but OURstory. Putting in check the power of the male ego; uniting genders.
I don't understand why it is called history whenever it was male and female that make up the past, it is about ourstory; that is the only way to understand it better.
